Our team comes from a wide variety of backgrounds and areas of expertise. We are a collaborative design team, approaching every project with creativity and experience, and bring all of our skills to the table every time.
Donal has over 30 years experience working in the construction industry across both the commercial and residential sectors. He has worked on both public and private sector projects in Germany, UK and more recently Dublin.

Coming from a technical background, Donal brings design flair accompanied with a keen eye for detail ensuring project delivery from conception to reality. Outside of the office, Donal enjoys photography, family time and can often be found sailing the open waters around the north coast!
Michael is a chartered architect with experience working across the UK, Ireland and Canada on a variety of bespoke residential and commercial projects.
Michael believes in delivering architecture that offers high quality, sustainable design that is bespoke to each individual client. He has in depth knowledge of local planning policy and specialises in tailored design solutions that are sensitive to their surroundings and context. Michael recently completed his own self-build project ‘Farrantemple Glebe’, as featured on RTÉs Home of the Year for 2025.

Outside of the office, Michael enjoys travelling, running, and can often be found walking the North Coast with his dog Mabel.
Annita is an Architectural Designer with a strong foundation in Civil Engineering and a passion for creating spaces that feel grounded, purposeful and personal. She offers first-hand insight, guiding clients from initial consultation through to planning and building control. With a particular interest in vernacular dwellings and rural architecture, blending traditional character with modern functionality. Her work is driven by an appreciation for how people live, how places evolve, and how good design can quietly transform both.

Outside of work, Annita enjoys running, cycling, the gym, and spending time in the garden — all of which feed into her love of the outdoors and an appreciation for natural materials and landscapes.
Ross Gribben is an award-winning designer specialising in architectural visualisation and computational design. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the 2021 Venice Biennale. He was recognised with the American Institute of Architects – Excellence in Design Award and has been featured on the cover of Perspective magazine. Ross has lectured at institutions including The Bartlett School of Architecture, Oxford Brookes University, and Queen’s University Belfast. He previously worked at Heatherwick Studio in London, where he was involved in several high-profile projects, including London Olympia, The Glasshouse for the National Trust, and Wallpaper magazine’s ‘Friction Cover’.

Beyond architecture, Ross enjoys game design, creative writing and art. His piece Threaded Verse – A Portrait of Seamus Heaney, crafted from a single 5,000-metre thread, is currently held in The Naughton Gallery, Belfast.
Ed joined the Healy McKeown Architects team in 2025 as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant, bringing with him several years of hands-on experience in the construction industry. With a strong family background in construction and a passion for thoughtful, context-driven design, Ed contributes creativity and meticulous attention to detail to every project he undertakes.

Outside of work, Ed enjoys running and playing the guitar in his spare time, appreciating music as another form of creative expression.
Karen keeps the office running smoothly by looking after the accounts and administration side of things; she has over 20 years of experience working in the office environment having previously worked in various finance and admin roles across both the public and private sectors.

Outside of work, Karen can often be found reading a good book, exploring the outdoors on a walk, or enjoying quality time with her family.
